Bleacher Planks

These gorgeous bleacher planks (see photos to right) have been salvaged from LeMoyne College this week and are now available in Buffalo.

Douglas Fir or Southern Pine (we’re still working on accurate typing of the wood species). Grain fineness on the narrower boards is close to heart pine. Dense, clear and resinous.

Unique, extraordinary material. They can be used for interior finishes, for furniture making, etc. They’d make exceptional wide-plank flooring. We can arrange for milling – add tongue & groove etc.

Three sizes available:

• Main bleacher planks…1×9, 16+ feet long. $3/linear foot.
• Riser bleacher planks…3/4×7, 16+ feet long. $2/linear foot.
• These boards are very fine grained, possibly old-growth wood.
• 5/4×11, almost 18 feet long, Douglas Fir, not as fine grained as the other boards $3/linear foot. Some of these 11″ boards are finger-jointed to make up the longer length.

All of these boards have bolt holes every two to four feet. These could easily be plugged with waste material.

They can be purchased at the ReUse Action Store, 980 Northampton Street, Buffalo NY 14211 starting Saturday 6/18/2016. Our store is open every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 am to 4 p.m.

Maple Tongue & Groove – Basketball Floor

Also available, 22,000 square feet of 1″ maple flooring, 2″ wide, lots of longer lengths. Very good/excellent condition. We are removing the maple in panels 4′ wide by 16′ long. The maple is attached to pine sleepers that can be easily removed.

The maple has been removed from the LeMoyne College gymnasium and is available immediately.

If you purchase as panels, this material is available for $1.75/sf. We can give you several time saving hints for disassembling the panels and denailing quickly and efficiently. The maple is then 100% ready for install. NO broken tongues. 1″ thick solid maple. This flooring will last a lifetime.

You could also use the panels as is to make table or bar tops! Beautiful and unique stuff.
